Placeholder for potentially the 2011 Green Bay Packers, pending what happens two months from now.

not even close

there were multiple teams from the 70's, 80's and even 90's that were Offensive and defensive juggernauts
Probably 20 teams that the 2011 Packers couldn't hold a candle to IMHO

Parody makes the 2011 Packers look better than they are....hell, even the Pats of a few years ago were better

Would you say that even if the Packers went undefeated on the way to winning the Superbowl? (Honest question.)

I would definitely say that.....the League is pretty mediocre this year IMO
I mean the Niners were 9-1.....lol

Just from listening to the radio, the profile of a team like the Niners (strong defense, primary attack is running game) doesn't seem that different from many other teams over the past 5-6 years.

I've also recently heard that Ben Roethlisberger in 2005 and Eli Manning in 2007 had worse QB ratings. Manning had a 73.9.

How would you compare this year's Niners with last year's Ravens? (This year's Ravens seem better than last year's Ravens).

I'm not saying the Niners are a team that will stand out years from now, but doesn't team X with a strong defense and running game sound like many teams over the past several years? And those teams win 11-12 games.

I think you're exagerrating a bit Gunshot.

Rodgers is having a hell of a year, arguably the greatest year for a QB ever.

IF the Packers go undefeated/win the Super Bowl then you have to atleast mention them in the top 5.

And personally, I think it's tough to compare different teams from different eras. People will say that the league isn't as competitive this year, but people also say that player's today are bigger, faster, stronger etc...so do you just compare team 1 vs team 2, or are we talking about relative to their era? But if competition is down, that skewes that comparison?

Remind me a lot like the Colts who were going for the perfect record.

What would be those top 5 teams that were good at both offense, defense, and had a killer record? (I know the Packers defense isn't in the top 10 yet, but given that they are good at offense and have the record, and they might end up with a top 10 defense, they have to be considered).

I agree that Rogers is an elite quarterback.....I just think that he would carve his own defense up
