I am starting to wonder if the NBA wants to get rid of the hornets.

I actually think Stern's doing the right thing. I mean, look at the trade proposals.

Lakers/Hornets/Rockets trade the Hornets end up with Kevin Martin, Lamar Odom and Scola. Martin has two years left, Scola four, Odom two. They'd have been a 7-10 seed for a season before they either overpaid for Martin/Odom to return or most likely lose both to free agency.

With the Clippers, the offer was better - but Kaman is worthless and nothing more than contract fodder, Gordon is a borderline All-Star, Bledsoe's a nice role player and Aminu is a prospect. The top 5 pick and Gordon are the only solid parts of that trade and the Clippers wouldn't part with Gordon, so, they're getting Bledsoe (role player), Aminu (role player prospect) and a good pick. Better than the Lakers deal but still - pretty blah.

I wouldn't trade an unhappy Tyreke for Blesoe, Aminu and a high draft pick - and Reke's no place near Paul's level.
