Red....aka Kurtwood Smith

I watched that show at times. Pretty good show. If I hadn't been watching other shows too, I would have made room for this.

I'm bad with faces. I recognized him, but couldn't recall from where.

So when Gunshot (http://kingsforum.net/live/member.php?1-Gunshot) told me who, I immediately knew which show it was from. So I know who he was, he's just not a face I think of immediately.

Roads? Whats 'roads'?

I would ask dutch litchford to take me but he's banned from the state of Iowa after he was caught 'experimenting' with hamsters in an Iowan cornfield. Those poor hamsters :(

Did he shower with them in the cornfield?

you guys seem to know each other.....lol:heehee:

Keeping it light and funny, even in times of disappointment, is preferred to having a repetitive 1000 word negative rant about the same stuff everyday or a 3-page flame war.

I cannot read some MLB boards because it's the same whining everyday.

You didn't even post about That 70's Show in your TV shows thread, so you must not like it very much.:)

Well, I'm in the same boat as you. I never really got into the show, but I would watch it randomly if I caught it on TV some day.

The 'drive my foot up your ass' was a reference to Red, not me just being flatout nasty and vulgar lol.

Observations:

1. No Tyreke, Cousins, or Hayes tonight. Cousins was wearing these gigantic neon pink sneakers, which he made Westphal put on prior to the scrimmage. (Hilarious).
2. Jimmer performed poorly in the first and second scrimmages. Offensively, he seemed too much like a boy amongst men. He was much more deferential than he was at BYU, often declining to shoot or aborting drives by kicking out. He also struggled from the field. Defensively, he simply couldn't keep Isiah Thomas in front of him, and missmatches off screens were very easily exploitable. This may be a problem going forward.
3. Jimmer got his shot going in the third and fourth scrimmages, with a nice few jumpers and a floater. But, his PG skills were lacking. A lot of turnovers and poor passes. He did have one heads-up steal and layup on an in-bound pass, though, which was nice to see. Overall, I don't think he's anywhere near being a starting point guard for an NBA club.
4. Isiah Thomas looked like the most capable rookie out there. He oozed confidence, maneuvered well on his way to the hoop, and made a few jumpers here and there. Certainly the most impressive #60 pick I've ever seen!
5. Honeycutt is very, very raw. He'll challenge Donte for the best dunker on the team, but he made a lot of careless errors. He would have been well-served by staying another year at UCLA.
6. JT displayed his nice mid-range touch.
7. Whiteside is still Whiteside. A couple blocks, terrible FT shooting, no offense beyond a 3-foot radius from the hoop. Can't believe we seriously considered burning a first-rounder on this guy at one point.
8. Hickson had a very solid overall effort, including a couple of offensive boards. He still needs to work on his scoring execution, since he frequently came up short around the rim.
9. Thornton was absolute cash money all night long. He drained a ridiculous number of threes and long twos and caused headaches every time he drove in. He also took on some ball-handling duties opposite Jimmer, which surprised me. It remains to be seen how well he can handle that role. Regardless, if his play tonight is any indication, he's well-worth the big extension.
10. Salmons wasn't really much of a factor, to my recollection. Probably because he wasn't on the court very much.
11. Donte looked pretty sharp. I still don't like his shot selection, but he performed adequately as a PF.
12. Garcia did what he usually does, draining corner 3's and grabbing a few good steals on the defensive end.
13. Oliver and Hill, the new guys, didn't really do anything to impress me, although I was not paying attention to them.

I think that's about all.

Nice recap.

I wasn't thrilled with much outside of Thornton, Thomas and the improved jumper of Thompson. Thomas is going to be a fan favorite - sad how much better he looked than Jimmer and Honeycutt.
