No longer a Sacramento King due to a failed physical. Good lord.

Damn. It sucks for the Kings, just a bad luck situation. But, personally speaking, I
hope that everything is fine with Chuck in the end.

For starters, I wish the best for Hayes. That really sucks for anyone, athlete or otherwise to deal with. He was a guy worth rooting for as he did the little things that count and plays hard as hell. I was glad to have him coming to Sacramento, though overpaid, as he could contribute. Definately hope his NBA career can continue soon.
Its just really too bad this had to happen, and now the Kings have to get Dal, AK or Humphries to fill the void. Remember, whether you like or hate any of those guys, the Kings are below the minimum cap again. That means they'd overpay the crap out of some scrub if they fail to land one of them. Those 3 can contribute. Lord knows, the other options the Kings may consider probably can't.

At least we have Whiteside! :p
But honestly though, this is really sad for Chuck. I hope everything is okay with him.

It's a tough day for everyone when your best defender leaves your team :( Hope JJ hickson learns quick and becomes a superb lockdown defender.

God damn this sucks so bad the more and more I think about it. Hayes was such a good fit for a bunch of ball hogging, non-defense playing players. He did all of the little things they wont do - and now we get to replace it with Hickson or Humph or Dalembert.
Blah.

I thought all the tests came back okay
It was being reported that nothing odd was found. Either they were given wrong info, or, they were just stalling.

I hope Hayes is okay and can contribute to a team later after his health gets better. I see it as a good n bad thing here. Atleast we didnt get stuck with a contract and now it def looks like well make a run after Dal.

Maybe this has some positives in it..the team might realize their best defensive player left and they need to step up. Hopefully they realize that and put tremendous effort into becoming a great defensive minded team. Especially if Cousins steps his defense up I think we'll be fine.

They never saw Hayes play nor understands his effect on defense so I doubt they'll step it up. It really comes down to most players not being good on defense and that won't change now. This will always be an offensive minded club, too many 1 dimensional shooters.
I am still working for further confirmation, but I have been told by two sources close to the situation that Chuck Hayes was diagnosed with Pericarditis, an inflammation of the sack surrounding the heart that can be life-threatening. The Kings subsequently nullified the veteran forward's four-year, $21 million deal.

so why don't they just redo his contract?
Don't think they know how or when it will be fixed.
