Jack will frustrate Evans.

Interesting. Ok, Hickson will have a few 360 dunks.

Hornets will shoot under 35% today due to the Sacramento Kings savage defense.

Man I'm so sad right now. I hope we keep cousins and everything turns out okay. Yesterday was such a bad day and now today with cousins gone..this might make everything even worse. But hey maybe JJ Hickson proves tonight he can be a 20-10 guy? :d

Kings would be BEYOND stupid to trade Cousins. BEYOND. They'd never get anything close to the same value.

Keith Smart, your next Sacramento Kings coach once Westphal burns the house down.

nuraman00

Bobby Jackson!!!!

I wouldn't mind that. I don't know how his X's and O's are, but point guards usually do have a good understanding of the game, and a coach has to start somewhere.

Gunshot
01-01-2012, 06:57 PM
Hickson starting?
I'd go with Thompson, myself

nuraman00
01-01-2012, 07:07 PM
Thompson: "It's an unfortunate situation, you don't want it to happen, but we have to put it behind us, and hopefully good things will happen".

On offense: "Sometimes we're not making things easy for us. All the baskets we're getting are tough. We have to make things easier on ourselves on the defensive end. We should be outrebounding teams and that hasn't been happening".

"I just think we had these three tough games. It's been tough because of the expectations in these three games, with our talent we thought we'd be better, but we just have to move forward".

nuraman00
01-01-2012, 07:08 PM
Hickson starting?
I'd go with Thompson, myself

I'd go with Hickson just because he's less developed, and we want to see how much he can grow.

I don't mind Thompson as a backup PF in general (even in future seasons).

Eze
01-01-2012, 07:09 PM
Thompson complained last year about the offense. So did Casspi, among others. Cousins (and Evans) weren't the first to complain about whatever Westphal calls an offense.

Also, if the Kings lose tonight, the world may end.

He may have complained last year, but since then he seems to have accepted doing whatever is asked. He didn't say anything when Dalembert started at the end of last season.

Dear Hickson. You are taller than Landry. Don't let his ass knock the ball away 3 times for the second chance points

Thornton with an acrobatic layup. The kind that I envisioned on paper.

01-01-2012, 07:17 PM
Nice pass from Salmons to a cutting Tyreke. Nice steal by Thornton. I like how NOs didn't play him for lack of defense, but he is showing the Kings he'll give that effort.

Jarret Jack has had a good season overall. Monty wanted him to become a team leader, and he has shown he is up for the challenge.

Kings rebounding on the defensive end especially sucks so far.

nuraman00
01-01-2012, 07:19 PM
Tyreke with a spin move on a fast break, but he misses the layup. He did get fouled. Will he make two?

Only 6 turnovers (the very bad shots should factor into this though). They need to come out with energy and focus, the third quarter is where they consistently let the games start slipping away. If they can keep it within 5-6, I can see the kings pulling this one out.

What happened was the Kings played better defense (even though they didn't rebound). That lead to 32 fastbreak points.

Hayes still missed layups, Outlaw still missed shots, Fredette still shot poorly (3-8) but did have 5 assists.

Yes. They played pretty good defense all game long.

If they fix the rebounding, then they should get to leads before the 3rd quarter. The Hornets rebounding kept them in the game for the first half.

Grizzlies have lead the league in points in the paint the last two years. Whoever plays for the Kings, they better be ready to defend the paint and grab rebounds. Or else Randolph will have his Z-bounds and have a 18 rebound night.

Nice defensive effort. I will not put a lot of emphasis on the win. It's against a Lottery team, like us! Without Paul and West, the hornets are primed for a top 5 pick. But, we played our best game defensively, albeit against a very offensively challenged Hornets squad. Let's see how we fare against a Memphis team that has more weapons. Westfail will get a nice test this week in trying to prepare this team.

I wouldn't be too sad. It just seems like Westphal trying to teach Cousins a lesson. A bit of the "dose of your own medicine" stuff. Wanna cry wolf? Okay - how's this then, type thing.

Not sure Cousins overly emotional self would be the kinda guy I'd wanna test that fire with, but, that's just me. I'm guessing he'll miss the team flight in the morning tomorrow and hop a commercial flight and be there Tuesday - maybe play in Denver on Wends.

I guess Outlaw was a Westphal-inspired signing because I have zero idea why he is getting minutes, even less as to why he was just given them over Greene and Garcia and didn't have to earn them.

Outlaw's signing was all on Petrie and cap management reasons to get over the minimum. Now he is getting minutes because he is stuck here for four years, and the front office won't want to be paying KT part 2. Unfortunately thats what they get, and Westphal still has the call to use one of Greene/Garcia at any point. Maybe it'll happen later in the year when everyone sees that Outlaw isn't just rusty...he sucks. Regardless his signing sucked day one, him playing is everyone's fault and I dread seeing him out there more than anyone else on the roster.

That should never be a reason to play somebody. You're paying Cisco and Donte too. Not playing him doesn't cost you more. Play the players that deserve to play. If Westphal thinks that's Outlaw, then okay, that's his decision.
