It's mostly a promo for Tony Thomas' workout, but, it's the best look we've seen at Evans' improved jumper. I wasn't too impressed with it in the Philly/Baltimore game, but, they had Lebron on him for the majority of the contest, so, I understand why he began to fadeaway.

Other than that game, NBA media guys have been raving about his improved shot...you can see a bit in the video.

Thats part of the problem though. Its one thing to look fluid during a short promo, but if he mentally flakes out during games while defended then the problems will continue. He looked pretty solid last offseason during workouts, but the season started and his headgames came back. He has a slow release and always needs to set himself up for his shots so its never fluid if he doesn't have the time. Then he rushes it and loses his balance.

All in all, I'm always to see the young guys like Tyreke and Cousins working on their games during this break. Nice to know they aren't taking it easy.

I thought it was a lot of the plantar issues that were hampering it - he had/has some mechanical flaws, but, his jumper wasn't really as bad as he made it look last year. Not to mention, he took a lot more jumpers last year than his rookie year because of the injury hampering his ability to get in the paint.

It's a shame Callipari made him focus on driving so much, he had a great stroke before that.

Plus, I think he struggles against bigger players overall - guys that can be physical (Artest) or guys his size and bigger that can keep up with his speed advantage (Lebron) really cause him to force things. There aren't a ton of them in the league, but the few that are really seem to give him issues, at least to me.

He seems to also really struggle with major shot blockers like Howard. Throws him off his game when he can't penetrate.
