I don't think we have a thread devoted to CFB yet, so I'll start one as the BCS talk starts to heat up.
The big matchup everyone is looking to is next Saturday night when #1 LSU faces #2 Alabama.
Tonight: #17 Houston is beating Rice 73-34! Case Keenum has thrown for 534 yards and 9 TD's. He's out of the game now though :(

IowaSacKing93 (http://kingsforum.net/live/member.php?9-IowaSacKing93), no one wants to talk about the boring, "never go for it on a fourth down" Iowa Hawkeyes.
Everyone wants to talk about the Stanford-USC game from this past weekend.

Damon Bruce says Navy uses the spread more often than most teams. Is this true?

I loved the USC-Stanford game. Great college football, and Andrew Luck proved he is worth ALL the hype

Navy runs the triple option i thought?
According to the internet, they do:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Option_offense
(Flexbone Option)
http://www.cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/2009/08/triple_option_offense_is_navys.html
http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2011/10/rutgers_prepares_for_navys_tri.html
I guess Iowans are smarter than Hoosier fans (Damon Bruce). He also laments Indiana's poor football team.
I think an Iowan poster should have his own radio show, and talk accurate college football. I know one poster who agrees with me.

Good finish from Iowa City.
Stanford plays Oregon State next. Considering OSU lost to Sacramento State, this could get ugly.

Will it be as ugly as Stanford - San Jose State? Predictions?

Stanford plays Oregon State next..
Stanford fans, is there going to be a game thread with Oregon fan sf giants r the best (http://kingsforum.net/live/member.php?50-sf-giants-r-the-best) also joining in? If so, could be the best game thread of these reformatted boards so far.

LOL! IowaSacKing93 (http://kingsforum.net/live/member.php?9-IowaSacKing93) chided me for making the same slip-up last week! I knew better, it was just a brain cramp by me.
So sf giants r the best (http://kingsforum.net/live/member.php?50-sf-giants-r-the-best), are you going to post in a game thread about it?

The key game this week will be UC Davis - Sac State.
Last year, The Big Game = The Big Lame (as dubbed by dutch_litchford). I expect the same this year. So I'm not even going to bother with it.
Last year, Sac State vs UC Davis was a 17-16 win for UC Davis. UC Davis doesn't look as good this year. Wow, Sac State has only played four home games so far this year.
I think they'll win 42-32.

AMES!
So if Alabama, Oregon, Arkansas, Clemson, and Stanford win this weekend, we could have seven 10-1 teams this week (add in Oklahoma State, and Virginia Tech, who have already played)?
Why does Oklahoma have one less game played? They are currently 8-1 before their game this weekend.
Same with Boise State, they have one less game played too. They are 8-1 before their game this weekend.
Can someone update this thread with the results of Alabama, Oregon, Arkansas, Clemson, and Stanford this weekend? So I can see if we end up with seven 10-1 teams.
So far (* means they haven't played yet):
LSU 10-0 *
Oklahoma State 10-1
Virginia Tech 10-1
Alabama 9-1*
Oregon 9-1*
Arkansas 9-1*
Clemson 9-1*
Stanford 9-1*
Oklahoma 8-1*
Boise State 8-1*

When do they announce which teams are playing in which bowl games?

I'm happy now that Urban Meyer has come home to Ohio State. I can't wait till next year but unfortunately I don't have a choice. Its already started with Brady Hoke at Michigan calling us Ohio and not Ohio State. We really don't give a damn about the whole state of Michigan.
I dount it happens but I'd love for the Buckeyes to play in the Insight.com bowl. If it hapens I think they could be playing Texas. Good matchup for one of the lower bowls.

The first bowl game is December 16, but the last reg. season game is Dec. 10th I think (Navy/Army??) so I'm sure it's between those two dates. Or, after this week (since neither Navy nor Army are bowl eligible, they can't screw anything up).
Yeah, Urban Meyer is relatively young, so I knew he'd come back to college football. And he's come back to a good school. I like Braxton Miller too. Maybe the next Troy Smith or Pryor? Your thoughts on that Cowpuncher?

I honestly don't know what to expect from him. Hes looked good at times and hes also looked bad. I need to see him play under Urban Meyer.
