While the Kings most likely wouldn't be one of the two, they'd still be in the discussion I'd think :|

Between the lack of floor time the guys are getting and the NBA's desire to whack a franchise or two, not a good time for the Kings.

Players reject the owners offer, now beginning the disbanding of the union.

Bad bad news.

hey all, I most recently went by theAussiefan on espn boards but thought that name way too long. anyways see lots of posters here now and never liked the new espn format. Well this all sucks as my kids and I are in Sacramento this December and was hoping to catch a game or two for the first time since pre respectability days. I also cant see how this lockout bids well for an NBA future in Sac as long as the Maloofs remain owners. Whos the greedier party here? owners or players? On a sporting news bright side at least my redbirds won it all this year.

wouldn't that be what would happen with them blowing up the union/

Well...the Union can be reinstated with one vote and NBA approval...but that seems unlikely today
and losing a season pretty much destroys the League

I could see the Owners voiding all contracts and working with a new union with terms to their satisfaction

Add Bobby Jackson to the assistant coaches position. He tweeted, he'll be an assistant coach whenever the lockout ends. Not sure who he'd be replacing (though I'd love to see Truck get dumped)

Why Truck Robinson? What don't you like about him? (I am indifferent).

Funny how I can still learn something about the Kings organization while just making a game thread template post, during a lockout.

I do like the idea of Bobby Jackson as a coach though. I remember when Chuck Person was the defensive coach "because he had to know something about defenses if he was able to score on them".

I'm impressed the Kings had five assistant coaches. When I would make this for the various teams in the league, most had 3-4. One team had 6. One team had two.

I kind of wish I'd have saved all of the ones for the other teams that I did. It took a while to insert the jersey numbers, where they played basketball before the NBA, and names of all of the assistant coaches. Oh well.

The Kings have/had a bunch of special assistants too, which Bobby was last year, as was Reef before he became an assistant. Might be their "grooming" procedure for guys who've never been in the position.

Plus, I think a lot of the players deal better with guys they watched as kids. Buy into them more.

Add Keith Smart to that list. I think it's a great pickup he did pretty well as head coach of the Warriors last year.

You'd think there was a season coming up :( lol

During 2009-2010, after an injury, KingsOwn19 went on a rant to fire Pete Youngman. So even Youngman has gotten some criticism.
